Possum has this one sock/shoe issue. From as long as I can remember...roughly 16 months or so, he has always been more comfortable with only one sock on. Even when he was too small to move or wiggle, you would look down and low and behold, one of his socks would be missing! Now that he is older, he purposely removes his own sock.
Evidence of the one sock man throughout the months:
Well coupled with one "sock-ness", Ethan has also developed a fondness for throwing things away. To date, he has thrown my phone in the garbage, put a can of pumpkin in the washing machine, and placed several full sippy cups of milk in places they shouldn't be.
With this track record of behavior, we were under the assumption that when one of his black shoes went missing that he had once again, thrown it away without us knowing. For days, we combed the house looking for the black shoe wondering where it was missplaced. One evening, we watched as Possum picked up a toy and walked over to the garbage and threw it away. Alarms rang in our head. More so, because Nena Monks had spent hard earned money on these shoes and now they were gone.
So for weeks, the lone survivor sat on the ledge missing its partner. I didn't have the heart to throw it away as it was a gift of love from Nena Monks. Well thank goodness for Gilligan! On his way to the doggie spa, he kicked up his heels in the Jeep and unearthed the missing shoe, wedged under his carseat! The pair was reunited and have gone back into Possum's shoe rotation. All is saved Nena Monks, Gilligan saved the day. Next step, finding a trash can with a lock.
Bed, Bath & Beyond. We had to get one after Hannah threw MANY things in the trash.
